The challenge is raised to the Goa Succession, Special Notaries and Inventory Proceedings (Amendment) Act, 2022 and the (Amendment) Act, 2023 is met by an affidavit filed by the Under Secretary, (Law - Estt), State of Goa, by filing an affidavit affirmed on 10.06.2025.

2. The learned Advocate General has tendered the affidavit, which is taken on record. Since the challenge is raised to the vires of the Amendment Act, we expect the Advocate General to address us. However, since Mr De Sa represents respondent no.2, who claims that depending upon the outcome of the challenge the respondent no.2 shall 10th June, 2025

WP 81 of 2025 be impacted, we also permit him to assist the learned Advocate General in meeting the challenge to the vires of the provision.

3. We direct listing of the Writ Petition on 24.06.2025 with an understanding that the petition shall be heard finally. NIVEDITA P. MEHTA, J.
