1. Registry to waive objections and register the matter.

2. The relief sought in the Petition was for a direction to the Village Panchayat of Cana Benaulim to implement the demolition Order dated 31.10.2023. All the parties in this Petition have been served. In the meantime, the Additional Director of Panchayat-I,, South Goa at Margao has passed Judgment dated 04.03.2026 dismissing the Appeal filed by Respondent No.4, the person who is alleged to have done the illegal construction. Considering that the Appeal has now been dismissed, we expect the Village Panchayat of Cana Benaulim to 10th March, 2026

57 WP 165 2026 implement its demolition order dated 31.10.2023 within a period of three weeks from the date of this Order.

Needless to state that the enforcement of the demolition order shall, of course, be subject to any orders that may be passed by the District Court, if the Respondent No.4 approaches that Court with a revision under the Panchayat Raj Act.

3. The Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.

4. The Panchayat to file a report in this Petition, which is disposed of, which shall be placed on board to record compliance, on 06.04.2026.
