IN THE HIGH COURT OF BOMBAY AT GOA
WRIT PETITION NO.194 OF 2025 JAYRAM RAMCHANDRA SIRSAT (DECEASED THR. LRS) AND 12 ORS ... PETITIONERS
Versus
HOTEL POORNIMA REP. BY SHEKHAR KASHINATH NAIK, SINCE DECEASED THR. LRS.
... RESPONDENTS Mr. L. Joseph Deva, Advocate for the Petitioners. Mr. Amey Phadte, Advocate for Respondent Nos.1(a), 1(b) and 1(c). CORAM:- ASHISH S. CHAVAN, J.
DATED :- 17th February, 2026 P.C.:
1. Heard Mr. Deva, learned Counsel for the Petitioners and Mr. A. Phadte, learned Counsel for the Respondents.
2. The crux of the matter seems to be non payment of rent due by the tenant to the landlord. Mr. Phadte, learned Counsel for the tenant on instructions, seeks some time to file an affidavit to place on record the fact that the entire rent amount due and payable to the Petitioners (landlords) has infact been paid and there is no outstanding amount. Interestingly, this position is not contested by the learned Counsel for the Petitioners.

4. Affidavit to be filed on or before the next date in the registry with an advance copy to the learned Counsel for the Petitioners. ASHISH S. CHAVAN, J.
