This application for stay is not pressed as the same has rendered infructuous. It is disposed of accordingly. WRIT PETITION NO. 2164 OF 2023 3.

A prayer in this petition is for quashing and setting aside the communication dated 24th February, 2023 and the Government Resolution dated 2nd February, 2023. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has invited our attention to the subsequent development viz. issuance of the Government Resolution 27th February, 2024, pursuant to which, the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of

Learned Additional Government Pleader Ms. Gaikee submits that the steps are already initiated for implementing the Government Resolution 27th February, 2024 and the candidature of the petitioner shall be considered in the backdrop of the mandate provided in the aforesaid Government Resolution 27th February, 2024 within reasonable period. Since the statement is coming from the Additional Government Pleader based on the Government Resolution 27th February, 2024 and also instructions received from the respondents, same is accepted.

We dispose of the petition by directing the respondents to decide the claim of the petitioner as per the Government Resolution 27th February, 2024 expeditiously and in any case within a period of 12 weeks from the date of this order.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
