his is an Application iled by the Applicant, for conirmation of Decree of Divorce dated 18.01.2013 passed by the Superior Court of Justice Toronto, Ontario, Canada. he application has been iled under Article 1101 of the Portuguese Civil Procedure Code read with Section 13 of the Civil Procedure Code.

he advocate for the Applicant, was present, the Respondent Merces Alicia de Souza alias Merces Alicia de Souza Menezes was heard through Video Conferencing and she records her consent to the grant of conirmation of the Decree of Divorce granted by the Superior Court of Justice Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has no objection to the cancellation of the entry of Registration of Marriage registered at the oice of Civil Registrar, Bardez, Goa.

he marriage between the Applicant with Respondent was solemnized before the Civil registrar cum Sub Registrar of Bardez, Mapusa, Goa on 05.11.1989 under entry no. 421/1989 of the Marriage Registration Book for the year 1989.

he parties were divorced vide order dated 18.01.2013 passed by the Superior Court of Justice Toronto, Ontario, Canada in Case No.FS12-379352, which took efect on 18.02.2013 and a Certiicate of Divorce was issued on 26.02.2013.

he marriage of the Applicant with the Respondent shall stand dissolved on the conirmation of this Decree dated 18.01.2013 Consequently, the Civil Registrar is directed to make appropriate endorsement against the Entry No. 421/1989 of the Marriage Registration Book for the year 1989 dated 05.11.1989, recording conirmation of the aforementioned Decree of Divorce and cancel such registration.
