AUGUST 18, 2025 1) The applicants/appellants have filed this application to direct the Registry to transmit the amount of compensation to the bank accounts of the respective applicants. 2) Learned counsel for the applicants submitted that the first appeal was allowed vide judgment and order dated 29/05/2017; however, on 12/03/2025, the Registry raised an objection to the middle name of the applicants as it does not match with their names in the bank account, therefore, they moved this application.

3) She further submitted that the deceased was known by both names, i.e. Suraj @ Suresh. Accordingly, the elder brother and brother-in-law of the deceased have filed an affidavit in that regard in the Court stating the said fact; therefore, she urged for directing the Registry to transfer the amount of compensation into the bank accounts of the applicants.

2 01-CAF 1314.2025.odt 4) Having considered the above submissions and having gone through the record, as well as the affidavits filed by the elder brother and brother-in-law of the deceased, in my view, it would be appropriate to allow the application as prayed, as the deceased was known by both names, i.e. Suraj @ Suresh. 5) Thus, the Registrar(J) is directed to transmit the compensation amount in the bank account of the respective applicants as per the award in proportionate amounts within four weeks on their furnishing bank account details.
