By this Application, the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 are seeking permission to withdraw the interest amount with interest accrued thereon.

This Court, by Judgment dated 19/11/2024 disposed of the Appeal on merits and held that the Appellant/MSRTC and driver of the bus are jointly and severally liable to pay the compensation of Rs.16,52,899/- along with the interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of Claim Petition till realisation of the amount.

From the averments made in the present Application, it is pointed out that the Appellant has deposited the amount of Rs.3,51,959/- on 10/10/2011 with the Registry of this Court and the said amount was deposited in Fixed Deposit for a period of five

2/2 13.caf.3181.2025 in fa.749.2011.odt years on 3/7/2012. As such, the accrued interest of Rs.3,51,959 + Rs.20,000/- = 3,71,959/- is lying to the office of this Court. 4.

Considering the fact that the Appeal is already disposed of and no one is appearing on behalf of the Appellant in the matter, office is directed to verify the same and after making proper calculation disburse the amount of interest along with interest accrued thereon till its realisation to the Claimants as per the Judgment delivered by this Court, subject to satisfaction of the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court.
