By this application, the original appellant is seeking change of his name from Girish Baburao Darekar to Girish Dhondu Lokhande. A gazette notification dated 7th September 2007 is annexed to the application, which supports the prayer made in the present application. Copy of the Aadhar Card is also annexed, which shows the name of the applicant as Girish Dhondu Lokhande. This appeal is pending since 1996.

Considering the documents annexed to the application, the same is allowed in terms of prayer clause (b). 3.

By this application, the original appellant is seeking permission to bring on record the legal heirs of sole respondent, who expired on 29th May 2023. Copy of the death certificate is annexed to the application. It is submitted that after the said fact came to the knowledge of the applicant and efforts were made to obtain the death certificate, the application suffers from some delay.

Considering the statements made in the application and the copy of the death certificate annexed thereto, this Court is inclined to allow the application.

Accordingly, the application is allowed. Delay is condoned. Legal heirs of the deceased respondent, details of whom are given in paragraph 3 of the application, are permitted to be brought on record. The amendment be carried out within two weeks from today.

The application is disposed of in above terms. 8.
The aforesaid application having been allowed, issue notice to legal representatives of deceased respondent, who have been brought on record today, returnable on 1st August 2025. MANISH PITALE, J.
