The Petition seek a declaration that the provisions of the Maharashtra Private Forests (Acquisition) Act, 1975, are not applicable in regard to the subject land in which the Petitioners are interested, and that on account of non-service Kartikeya

Since the Respondents are yet to file their reply, we direct the reply affidavit on behalf of Respondent Nos.1 to 5 to be filed on or before 06.02.2026, with the copy being served upon the learned senior counsel for the Petitioners. To be listed along with other matters involving similar issue, which we have slated for hearing on 10.02.2026. INTERIM APPLICATION NO.13464 OF 2025 :

The Interim Application seek intervention in the present proceedings, and as the learned senior counsel Mr. Gorwadkar do not oppose the intervention, the intervenor is directed to be impleaded as a Respondent by effecting the necessary amendment within a period of one week from today. The newly added Respondent is at liberty to file affidavit-in-reply if he deems it necessary.
