This is an Interim Application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking an extension of mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal, which expired way back on June 19, 2021.

The parties have however engaged in settlement discussions, but the same has not been fruitful. The parties have consensus on resuming arbitration, and therefore, jointly request that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal may be fixed afresh.

Although, this is an application filed in a disposed of Section 11 Petition, by consent of the parties, it is treated as Petition under Section 29-A of the Act.

In these circumstances, this application is finally disposed of extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one year i.e. until December 31, 2026.

All actions required to be taken pursuant to this order shall be taken upon receipt of a downloaded copy as available on this Court's website.
