Heard, Mr. Shinde, learned counsel for the applicant, Mr. Salunke, learned appointed counsel for respondent No.2 and Mrs. Deshmukh, learned APP for the State.

This is an application for condonation of delay of 150 days in preferring the appeal against conviction awarded by the Special Judge, Kandhar, in Special (POCSO) Case No.24 of 2022 and maximum sentence imposed is of 20 years.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that for want of fund, the appeal could not be preferred within the time bound period. The application is not seriously opposed by the learned APP and the learned counsel for the victim.

Considering the fact that the punishment imposed is of 20 years and the delay of 150 days, I am inclined to allow the application. Accordingly, the application is allowed. The delay of 150 days is condoned.

The appeal be registered accordingly.
