Learned APP today produced on record communication dated 20.03.2026, issued by the Superintendent of Police, Dharashive, to the Additional Director General of Police, EOW, Maharashtra State, mentioning that the proposal under Section 4(1) of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act, 1999 (for short, MPID Act), be forwarded to the Government within the stipulated time limit as per the Government Resolution dated 05.08.2025.

It appears that as per the said Government Resolution, the Additional Director General of Police, EOW, Maharashtra State, is supposed to forward the proposal under Section 4(1) of the MPID Act in respect of respondent No.5 to the State Government within 10 days from 20.03.2026. Learned APP assured, on instructions, that the said proposal will be sent to the State Government Strictly within the aforesaid timeline. As per the Government Resolution dated 05.08.2025, though there is no time limit prescribed for the State Government to take action in respect of the said proposal, however, we expect that the State Government shall take action regarding the said proposal well within two (2) months after its receipt.
