The petitioner has challenged the communication dated 24.10.2024 issued by Collector, Dhule by which the weapon described as "0.32 Bore Revolver & Pistol", of belonging to the petitioner has been directed to be surrendered on the eve of the elections of local bodies.

Learned APP submits that now the purpose of filing this petition is served because the elections are over and there is no question of asking the petitioner to surrender the said weapon. In that view of the matter, nothing survives in this petition. 3.
