The learned APP seeks time to file affidavit in reply of the Investigating Officer. The learned APP further canvassed that the Investigating Officer has served the respondent no.2/informant on 07.01.2026 and given understanding that the matter is listed today i.e. on 12.01.2026. However, the respondent no.2 has failed to appear in the matter. Therefore, the Secretary of High Court Legal Services Authority is hereby directed to appoint the counsel from the legal aid panel to defend the cause on behalf of respondent no.2.
