his is an application seeking suspension of sentence and release on bail by the applicant who is accused no.2 in Sessions Case No.7/2016. he applicant was arrested on 05.02.2013 in Crime No.29/2013 registered at Calangute Police Station and was admitted to bail on 15.12.2013. After the Final Report was iled and trial was completed, the applicant was convicted of the aforementioned ofence on 30.04.2025 by the Court of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Panaji and he was immediately taken in custody and is presently lodged at the Central Jail, Colvale, where he serves his sentence.

Considering that the applicant has been on bail throughout the trial for a period of more than twelve years, and is aged just 35 years, apart from which the sentence imposed upon him and conviction was for four years in prison, a case has been made out for suspension of the sentence pending the hearing of the appeal on the following conditions:- (a) he Superintendent of Central Jail, Colvale shall release the applicant on executing a P.R. Bond of Rs.25,000/-. After the release, the applicant shall execute a P.R. Bond of Rs.25,000/- with one surety in the like amount before this Court within a period of one week.

(b) he applicant shall deposit the amount of ine imposed upon him before the Sessions Court within a week from today.

(c) he applicant shall furnish a copy of his Aadhar Card, his phone number and full details of his residential address under an aidavit, to be iled in the Registry of this Court. (d) he applicant shall not change residence, the address of which is mentioned in the cause title of this application during the course of hearing of the appeal.

(e) he applicant shall be available when the appeal is taken up for hearing.
