he Registry to waive objections and register the matter. 2.

his is an application seeking suspension of sentence imposed by the JMFC, 'E' Court at Mapusa in Criminal Case No.OA/312/2021, of conviction for an ofence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Learned Magistrate by order dated 02.05.2024 has imposed a sentence of three months imprisonment on the applicant and directed the applicant to pay

compensation of Rs.11,10,000/- and in default to undergo further imprisonment of thirty days.

In a Criminal Appeal bearing No.165/2024 before the Sessions Court at Panaji, during the pendency of the appeal the applicant availed of a One Time Settlement Scheme of the respondent Co-op. Bank in the amount of Rs.10 lakhs and deposited on 29.11.2024, with that bank an amount of Rs.2 lakhs. No further deposit was made thereafter. 4.

he Sessions Court dismissed the appeal on 28.04.2025 and took the applicant into custody. He is presently lodged in the Central Jail, Colvale serving his sentence. 5.

Learned Advocate for the applicant submits that the applicant would deposit an amount of Rs.2 lakhs by 07.05.2025 with the Registry of this Court.

Considering all the aforementioned facts the sentence imposed on the applicant by the JMFC, Mapusa by order dated 02.05.2024 in Criminal Case No.OA/312/2021 stands suspended on the applicant executing a P. R. Bond of Rs.25,000/- Superintendent, Central Jail, Colvale. After release, the applicant shall execute a P. R. Bond of Rs.25,000/- before the JMFC, 'E' Court Mapusa with one surety in the like amount by 07.05.2025. he Superintendent, Central Jail, Colvale shall remit the P. R. Bond executed by the applicant to the concerned Magistrate 7.

he application stands disposed of in the above terms.
