The present Writ Petition is filed for directions to the Respondent No.2-Forensic Science Laboratory, Pune, to expeditiously complete the forensic examination of the CCTV footage and related digital material submitted in connection with Crime/FIR No.281 of 1/3

2024 registered at Ghodegaon Police Station, Pune Rural which has resulted in Special Case No. 278 of 2024 before the learned Additional Sessions Court, Khed-Rajgurunagar, Pune. 2.

Learned A.P.P. submitted that CCTV footage is sent for examination on 24/10/2022.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that, he be permitted to withdraw this Petition with liberty to prefer an appropriate application before the trial Court. 4.

Considering the above, Petition is allowed to be withdrawn. The Petitioner is at liberty to prefer an appropriate application before the trial Court in respect of forensic examination of the said CCTV footage.

We make it clear that, we have not made any observations regarding the merits of the matter, not even the validity or relevance 2/3

of the said CCTV footage.

With these observations, the Writ Petition No. 42 of 2026 is disposed of.
