Heard Mr L. Joseph Deva for the Petitioner for some time. During the course of the arguments, learned PP Mr Bhobe pointed out that the learned JMFC, 'D' Court, Mapusa has taken cognizance of the charge-sheet on 28.11.2025 and summons has been issued to the Petitioner.

Mr Deva appearing for the Petitioner submits that in this view of the matter, he would like to challenge the order taking cognizance dated 28.11.2025 and prays for some time to carry out an amendment to the memo of the Petition incorporating such challenge and also seeking consequential modification to the prayer. Permission as prayed for is granted. Amendment to be 13th January 2026

1-WPCR-80-2025.DOC carried out within three weeks from today. Copy of the amended Petition to be served on the prosecution on or before 03.02.2026. 3.
