The Petitioner is a daughter-in-law against whom the Respondent No. 1- mother-in-law has filed a complaint under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. The Petitioner seeks directions to quash and set aside the said complaint on the ground that, since she was not residing with the Respondent, there was no shared household, rendering the complaint not maintainable under the D.V. Act.

Issue notice to the Respondents, returnable on 13th August 2025.
