All these three petitions are decided by this common order today because the subject matter is the same. In all these matters the parties have settled the dispute and the prayer is made for quashing of the proceedings arising out of C.R. No.339/2024 registered at Ambad Police Station on 19th May 2024 under Sections 498-A, 323,406, 504, 506 read with Section 34 of Indian Penal Code. 2.
The Petitioner in Criminal Writ Petition No.909/2025 is the husband of the first informant. The Petitioners in Criminal Writ Petition No.1012/2025 are the parents and sister of the husband of the first informant. The Petitioners in Criminal Writ Petition No.908/2025 are the uncle and aunt of the husband of the first informant.

As mentioned earlier the parties have settled their dispute and, therefore, it is not necessary to refer to the allegations in the FIR, however, the gist of the FIR is that the parties came in contact with each other through a matrimonial site on the internet. The informant got married to the Petitioner Neeraj on 30th January 2021 at Nashik. At that time the informant's father had spent around Rs.1 Crore for different ornaments and other precious articles were also given to the informant. After the marriage the informant realised that the Petitioner herein was interested in other girls. There are allegations that the Petitioners demanded Rs.50 lacs for the office and Rs.20 lacs for a new project. On these demands, the informant was ill treated
LSP 3 117-905-906-1012-909-908.doc and harassed. On one occasion the informant's father had presented a new car to the Petitioner Neeraj but the Petitioners were not happy. They continued ill treating the informant. She also came to know that that the Petitioner Neeraj was engaged to some other girl and that engagement was cancelled. This fact was concealed from her. She stayed with the Petitioners upto February 2022 but then she was not allowed to come back to her matrimonial house. Her Streedhan was misappropriated. On all these allegations the FIR was lodged. 4.
Now the parties have settled their dispute. The Respondent No.2-first informant has filed separate affidavits in all these petitions. She has stated that the parties have arrived at a settlement. The dispute is resolved. She has received certain amount in the settlement. The Consent Terms were entered into which are filed before this Court in MCA No.463/24 with MCA No.304/24 which were the proceedings for transfer of the proceedings between Pune and Nashik Courts. She has further stated that she has no objection for quashing of the proceedings arising out of the present FIR. 5.
The Respondent No.2 is present before the Court. She is identified by her learned Counsel. She reiterated the contents of her affidavit of consent. She stated before the Court that the settlement was to her satisfaction and that she has no objection for quashing of these proceedings. The dispute between the parties is purely personal in nature. The Society at large was not involved. 6.
In these circumstances, we are inclined to allow these petitions.

ORDER
(i) The Writ Petitions bearing Nos.909/2025, 1012/25 and 908/2025 are allowed.
(ii) The F.I.R. registered vide C.R. No.339/2024 at Ambad Police Station on 19th May 2024 under Sections 498-A, 323,406, 504, 506 read with Section 34 of Indian Penal Code and the consequent proceedings are hereby quashed and set aside.
