The petitioner has approached this Court seeking relief in the form of a direction to the learned Sessions Court, Dindoshi, Mumbai, to expedite the hearing of Appeal No.180 of 2016, which has been pending adjudication for an extended period.

Given the appeal has remained unresolved since the year 2016, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the Appellate Court to take necessary steps to expedite the hearing of the said appeal. The Appellate Court is further directed to dispose of the appeal expeditiously ensuring the matter is decided on its own merits and strictly in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
