At the outset, learned counsel for the Petitioner seeks leave to amend. Leave granted. Amendment to be carried out forthwith during the course of the day.

The Petitioner, a senior citizen aged 100 years along with several others has been allegedly duped by M/s. Siply Services Private Limited. Accordingly, the Petitioner aged 100 years gave a written 1/3

complaint to the Senior Inspector of Police, Cuff Parade Police Station on 1st March 2025 alleging a large scale public fraud and cheating requiring immediate investigation, in accordance with law. According to the Petitioner, the Petitioner has been personally duped off an amount of Rs.1,75,00,000/-. The Petitioner has named 14 persons as responsible for the said fraud. In the complaint, it is specifically stated that the if the complaint is not investigated and the FIR is not registered on an urgent basis, the accused persons will flee from the country and/or destroy or tamper with the evidence. The grievance of the Petitioner is that the police have not taken any steps, much less any action to ensure that the funds are not further transferred or to ensure that the accused do not abscond.

Learned APP on instructions of API Mr. Chavan, states that the FIR will be registered forthwith and the police will take all steps in the right direction. Statement accepted. 4.

In the meantime, issue notice to the Respondents returnable on 28th March 2025.

State. Mr. Shirsat, learned counsel waives notice on behalf of Respondent No.2. Mr. Jha, learned counsel waives notice on behalf of Respondent No.4. Mr. Shirsat to inform the Respondent Nos.3 and 5 of the next date to enable them to appoint an Advocate. 6.
