The petitioner seeks directions to the Divisional Commissioner, Pune, for expeditious resolution of the Externment Appeal filed in February 2025, under Section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951. The petitioner was externed from the limits of Pune district for a period of two years. Despite the appeal being filed, neither the stay was granted nor the appeal has been decided. Since this is a preventive measure, the appellate Court is expected to expedite the hearing of the appeal.
