Heard learned counsel for the parties.

By this Petition, the Petitioner seeks quashing of the summons dated 1st March 2025 issued by the Enforcement Directorate and the proceeding emanating from the said summons qua the Petitioner. The Petitioner also seeks that no coercive action be taken against the Petitioner for a period of four weeks. 3.
Ms. Jagtap, learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the Enforcement Directorate vehemently opposed the grant of any interim relief. She seeks time to file Affidavit in Reply. She further Gaikwad RD 1/2
16-wp-1448-2025.doc states that the Petitioner has an alternate efficacious remedy of filing an appropriate Application before the appropriate Court i.e., for anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, we grant learned Special Public Prosecutor time of two weeks to file an Affidavit in Reply. The same to be filed in the Registry within two weeks from today, with an advance copy to the learned counsel for the Petitioner.

Stand over to 15th April 2025.

In the meantime, we relegate the Petitioner before the trial Court, for seeking anticipatory bail. In order to enable the Petitioner to take appropriate steps, no coercive steps be taken against the Petitioner for a period of two weeks from today. 7.
We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the case/Petition and as such, the trial Court to decide the interim relief/any relief on its own merits uninfluenced by the interim protection granted by this Court.
