By this Petition, learned counsel for the Petitioner seeks a direction to the Respondent No.1-State of Maharashtra to register an FIR on the basis of the Petitioner's complaint dated 15th January 2025. 2.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, states that the police after conducting a preliminary inquiry in the Petitioner's complaint have closed the said complaint and as such, 'filed' the same on 20th February 2025. He states that the decision taken on the Petitioner's complaint has also been communicated to the Petitioner on the very same day.

In view of the aforesaid, learned counsel for the Petitioner does not press this Petition and seeks leave to withdraw the Petition with liberty to file appropriate proceedings before the appropriate Forum, in accordance with law.

The Petition is accordingly disposed off as withdrawn with liberty as prayed.

Needless to state, that we have not gone into the merits of the Petitioner's complaint nor into the reasons given by the police for 'filing' the said complaint and as such, all contentions of all the parties are kept open.
