By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent police to forthwith take steps to register an FIR pursuant to the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, 7th Court, Thane on 16th October 2024. 1/4

By the said order, the learned Magistrate, 7th Court, Thane has directed the police officer in-charge of Kasarvadavli Police Station, Thane, to register an FIR and submit a report as early as possible.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that, despite the order dated 16th October 2024, till date, the police have not registered an FIR. Pursuant to the said grievance, we asked the Senior PI Mr. Sunil Patil, Kasarvadavli Police Station, Thane to appear through Video Conferencing.

Mr. Sunil Patil, Sr. PI from Kasarvadavli Police Station, Thane, states that since the police had not received the copy of the order, the police did not take steps. He further states that an officer from the concerned Police Station went to the concerned Magistrate and tried to obtain documents, however, 2/4

the office of the concerned Magistrate failed to give the documents as were to be given to the police as per clause (4) of the order dates 16th April 2024.

Today Mr. Patil, Senior PI states that FIR will be registered forthwith on the basis of the petitioner's statement, which will be recorded during the course of this week. Statement accepted.

The Magistrate to furnish all documents as per clause

(4) of the order dated 16th October 2024 to the police, expeditiously, and in any event, within one week from today. In view of the statement made by Senior PI Mr. Patil, nothing survives for further consideration in the petition. Petition stands disposed of.

The police to place a copy of the above order before the concerned Magistrate, to enable the Magistrate to comply with its own order dated 16th October 2024 (clause 4). 3/4

The petition although disposed of, be listed on 4th April 2025 on the Supplementary Board under the caption `for recording compliance' with regard to the registration of FIR and handing over of documents by the learned Magistrate to the police.
