A limited relief sought in this petition is a direction for expeditious hearing and early disposal of the Appeal, bearing No.203 of 2018, which is presently pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Dindoshi, Mumbai. 2.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the original complaint under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, was instituted by the petitioner in 2013. After due consideration, the trial Court delivered its judgment in the matter in the year 2018. Chitra Sonawane 53-wp-1960-25.doc judgment, which has remained pending before the Appellate Court since 2018. Despite the passage of several years, the Appeal has not yet been finally heard or disposed of. 3.

Given the prolonged pendency of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to request the Appellate Court to take up the appeal for hearing at the earliest and dispose of the same expeditiously, in accordance with law and on its own merits.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
