The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is seeking a limited relief by way of a direction to the learned trial Court to expedite the disposal of CC No.495/SS/2019, which has been instituted by the petitioner under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act against the respondents. He further submits that the petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 79 years is undergoing various medical treatments, had filed the said complaint in the year 2019, and despite the considerable passage of time, the matter continues to Page No. 1 of 2 ____________________________________________ 29 April 2025

In view of the prolonged pendency of the complaint and considering the advance age of the petitioner, who deserves priority in the adjudication of his case, this Court finds it appropriate to request the learned trial Court to expedite the hearing of the said matter. The trial Court is accordingly requested to take up the case for early hearing and dispose it of expeditiously, on its own merits and in accordance with law.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
