As the hearing in this matter progressed to some extent and we noticed that the issue raised by the Petitioner would be an integral part of the trial with reference to the First Information Report (FIR) bearing No. 994 of 2022, the learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner does not have any objection if the trial in C.C. No. 267 of 2023, is expedited. The learned APP also submits that the trial may be expedited. 2.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits that an inquiry is being conducted by the Police Department with reference to his 1/3

complaint dated 2nd August, 2023 and he would be satisfied if the inquiry is concluded and some conclusion is drawn by the Authority, so that he may take recourse to appropriate legal remedies.

The learned APP submits that the inquiry into the said complaint will be completed within a period of 60 days, provided the Petitioner and those closely related to him cooperate in the investigation. It is alleged that the Petitioner is not cooperating with the investigation. 4.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits that he would render full cooperation.

As such, to avoid further controversy, we direct the Authorities to resort to videography whenever the Petitioner, his close relatives, or any person connected with his complaint, is interrogated. 6.

Insofar as the pending trial is concerned, we would direct the learned Trial Court to complete the said trial, within a period of 9 months from today. Parties shall render cooperation. 2/3
