This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is filed praying for the following substantial reliefs: "(a) That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of Mandamus or a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the Respondent Nos.1, 2 and/or 3 to register an FIR in respect of the complaint and facts narrated by the Petitioner regarding the attack and incident by the Petitioner's husband on the night of 14 April 2025; (b)That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of Mandamus or a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, granting urgent police protection to the Petitioner from her husband and his actions that pose an imminent threat to the Petitioner's life;

(c)That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to direct the concerned authorities to conduct a prompt medico-legal examination of the petitioner;"

Learned APP on instructions of Mr. Jitendra Gaikwad, PSI Chembur Police Station who is present in the Court makes a statement that the concerned Officer Incharge of the police station shall registered an FIR on the petitioners complaint as also the statement of the petitioner would be recorded.

In this view of the matter, the grievance of the petitioner insofar as this petition is concerned would stand redressed. It is accordingly disposed of keeping open all contentions in regard to the merits of the petitioners case in the complaint.
