Heard Ms. Mansukhani, learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Ms. Bhosale, learned APP for the State.

The letter dated 3rd April 2025 sent by the Petitioner has been converted into the Writ Petition.

The prayer sought in the Writ Petition is that the Sessions Case No.173 of 2024 pending in the Court of learned Sessions Court, Vita be directed to be disposed of expeditiously. 4.
Ms. Mansukhani, learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the 7 witnesses have been examined and therefore, the
learned District Judge-1 and Additional Sessions Judge, Vita be directed to conclude the trial expeditiously. 5.
Ms. Bhosale, learned APP, on instructions, states that 7 witnesses have already been examined and 10 more witnesses are to be examined. She states that the State will take effective steps to complete the trial within time bound manner. As the Applicant is incarcerated in Jail since 10th February 2020, she states that the trial will be completed within a period of 6 months from today. 6.
Accordingly, the learned District Judge-1 and Additional Sessions Judge, Vita is requested to conclude the trial in Sessions Case No.173 of 2024 expeditiously and within a period of six months.

It is clarified that if the trial is not completed within the said period, the Petitioner will be at liberty to file the Bail Application. 8.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of in above terms, with no order as to costs.

This Court places on record its appreciation for the assistance rendered by Ms. Mansukhani, learned Counsel appointed to represent the interest of the Petitioner. The High Court Legal Services Committee, Mumbai is requested to pay her professional charges, as per rules.
