Record of investigation prima facie indicates that investigation of the present crime is being conducted in casual manner. The basic tenets of investigation, such as recording statement of the concerned Officer from Emirates Airlines at Mumbai or otherwise is not till date effected by the Investigating Officer.

In view thereof, we direct the Deputy Commissioner of Police having territorial jurisdiction over Dindoshi Police Station, Mumbai, to file his detailed reply to Petition. It be done within a period of two weeks from today.
