This petition is filed with a main prayer of transfer of investigation and an interim prayer for police protection. The petitioners want transfer of the investigation in C.R.No.146 of 2025 registered with Byculla police station.

Learned APP produced a copy of the order dated 29.01.2026 passed by the Additional Police Commissioner, Central Region, Mumbai, whereby the investigation is transferred to the Police Inspector (Crime) Smt. Meena Jagtap, attached to Dadar Digitally signed by VINOD BHASKAR GOKHALE Date:

26-wp-2950-25 police station. A copy of the order is taken on record. Though, in the order C.R.No.145 of 2025 is mentioned, learned APP submits that it is a typographical error and it pertains to C.R.No.146 of 2025.

In view of this order, the learned counsel for the Petitioners states that the petitioners are satisfied with such transfer of the investigation. As far as, the question of police protection is concerned, the Petitioners are at liberty to make appropriate application before the authorities, which shall be dealt with in accordance with law and rules.

With this observation, nothing further survives in this petition. The petition is disposed of.
