The limited prayer made by the Petitioner in the present Writ Petition is that her Interim Application filed under Section 23 of the Domestic Violence Act pending before the 12th Judicial Magistrate First Class, Bandra, should be expedited.

It is the contention of the Petitioner that, she has undergone spine surgery and is presently not physically fit. As against that, her husband is enjoying his life with the second wife and is not fulfilling his responsibility. The Petitioner was forced to live separately because of the mental physical and emotional harassment subjected by the husband, due to which she was constrained to file Domestic Violence 01st July 2025 R.V.Patil
12 WP.3408.2025.doc proceedings, which are pending before the 12th Judicial Magistrate First Class, Bandra.

Considering the difficulties faced by her as are set out in the present Petition and after going through the Roznama it appears that, her Interim Application for maintenance is pending since 23rd October 2024, and no positive orders have been passed on that Application yet. 4.
Ms Dhanalakshmi Krishnaiyar, APP appears for the State and submits that she has no objection for issuing such directions. 5.
In view of the above, the Writ Petition can be disposed of by directing the 12th Judicial Magistrate First Class, Bandra to expedite the hearing of Domestic Violence Application No. 20 of 2024, and pass appropriate orders on the Application as early as possible, preferably within a period of three months from today.
