P.C.:- 1) Petitioners i.e. mother-in-law (Petitioner No.1); sister-in-law (Petitioner No.2); brother-in-law (Petitioner No.3); sister-in-law (Petitioner No.4, wife of Petitioner No.3); husband (Petitioner No.5) and brother-inlaw (Petitioner No.6, husband of Petitioner No.2) of the Respondent No.2, have filed this Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for quashing of C.C. No.1154/PW/2016, pending on the file of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Court No.9), Bandra, Mumbai, arising out of C. R. No.420 of 2015, registered with Mahim Police Station, Mumbai, dated 1/2

DDR 13. WP 3519-25.doc 3rd November 2015, under Sections 498-A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, with the consent of the Respondent No.2, the informant.

2) Ms. Sothe, learned Advocate appearing for the Respondent No.2 tendered across the Bar her Affidavit dated 15th July 2025, duly affirmed before a Notary Public. It is stated therein that, the disputes and differences between the Petitioners and Respondent No.2 have been amicably settled and the Consent Terms dated 23rd May 2025, have been executed and filed in Petition No. A - 158 of 2016 before the Family Court at Bandra, Mumbai. That, the said Consent Terms are annexed at Exhibit 'C' to the Petition. In Paragraph No.3 of her Affidavit, the Respondent No.2 has given her consent for quashing of the crime in question including the said Criminal Case pending on the file of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Court No.9), Bandra, Mumbai. In Paragraph No.4 thereof, the Respondent No.

2 has given her no objection for quashing of the crime in question. 2.1) The Respondent No.2 is personally present in the Court and through her Advocate reiterates the contents of her Affidavit dated 15th July 2025 and her 'No Objection' for quashing of the crime in question. 3) In view thereof, Petition is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a).
