The said status report says that the cognizance has been taken against the accused (accused no. 1 is in judicial custody and accused nos. 2 and 3 are absent).

In view thereof, extending the interim protection granted to the petitioners vide order dated 25th August 2025 by a period of six weeks, this writ petition has been disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file fresh petition/application before the jurisdictional Court, if so advised, to challenge the order taking cognizance or any other further orders passed by the Court concerned.
