By way of this Petition, the Petitioner seeks quashing and setting aside of the order of the Respondent No.2-the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-XII dated 11th November 2024 in Externment Order No.588/C/43/2024.

According to the Petitioner, he had filed an appeal before the Appellate Authority concerned on 26th November 2024 bearing Appeal No.191 of 2024. The said appeal is still pending and the officer concerned has not decided the said Appeal till date.

Considering that the period of externment was for one year from the date of the order, the Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division, i.e., the competent Appellate Authority is directed to decide the said appeal within a period of two weeks from the date, when copy of the order is placed before him.

The petition is disposed off on the aforesaid terms. 6.

Learned APP to communicate the present order to the Appellate Authority within two weeks from the date on which the order is uploaded.
