The Petitioner is a 65 years old senior citizen. Her grievance is that her step son is not treating her properly. 2.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits, on instructions, that the Petitioner would proceed to lodge a complaint under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (the Act of 2007). The Petitioner, therefore, desires to withdraw this Petition.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off as withdrawn, on instructions.

If the Petitioner prefers a Grievance Application before the appropriate authority under the Act of 2007, we would expect the authority to deal with the said Application/ Grievance as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within a period of 60 days.

All contentions of the parties are kept open and the withdrawal of this Petition would not be an impediment.
