This is yet one more example of an individual, for the purpose of earning quick money, voluntarily getting involved in fraudulent schemes floated on the internet. The Petitioner ended up investing a sum of 58,80,670/- in a share trading platform. A Demat account was also opened. ₹ 2.

A First Information Report (FIR) bearing No. 02 of 2024 was registered on 8th May, 2024 with the Palghar Cyber Police Station. It is informed by the Petitioner that one of the Accused, namely, Kareena Rajput has already been arrested in connection with a crime, by the Faridabad Cyber Crime Police Station in the State of Haryana. She is presently behind bars.

The learned Addl.PP submits, on instructions, that the investigation into the FIR is in progress.

In view of the above, we observe that the concerned police shall investigate FIR No. 02 of 2024 expeditiously and efficiently, and file the chargesheet at the earliest.
