Heard learned Advocate Sovani for the Petitioner-Accused No.1. He has applied for return of seized laptop and mobile handset, however, it was rejected by the learned Sessions Judge, Oros on 9th May 2025.

The prosecution claims that those electronic devices may contain some material to show the complicity of the Petitioner in the crime but submission is it can be assessed only after these devices will be examined by the forensic department.

Mr. Sovani made a submission that these devices contains a data relating to the other business dealings of the Petitioner and due

It is true that investigating agency has got right to seize devices which they find relevant. At the same time, the accused is also entitled to use the other material from those electronic devices. However, the officer present from that police station has not brought the papers because he is attending the Court in some other matters. 5.

Let Learned APP to take instructions from the concerned police station and also to produce on record the last correspondence made with the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Kolhapur. Stand over to 14th August 2025.
