Interim application is filed by Bar Council Of Maharashtra And Goa. Copy be served on the learned APP.

By order dated 13.08.2025 DVR of the private CCTV installation of the petitioner which was taken away by the police authorities was directed to be produced before this Court. The DVR was viewed by learned advocate for the petitioner and the petitioner. The DVR was found to be intact and was not tampered and that all the contents/recordings, as per the contentions made by the petitioner in the petition memo, (a complete narration of the events that occurred on the fateful day), are intact is observed by this Court in the said order.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that CCTV footage of adjoining Masjid of the incident can also be obtained. 4.
Learned advocate Mr. Warunjikar who has filed interim application on behalf of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa submits that there must be CCTV installed inside the police station and said CCTV footage would also be necessary to decide the present matter. 5.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police/Respondent No. 2 shall ensure production of DVR kept with respondent No. 3 and CCTV footage and DVR of the relevant date of the Masjid adjoining to the petitioner's house and the CCTV footage of the concerned police station before this Court within one week from today. After production
{3} of the DVR's and CCTV footage's, the same be given in the custody of learned Registrar (Judicial) until further orders. 6.
Learned advocate Mr. Warunjikar submits that this is one of the incident of police atrocity against the lawyer and many such instances are happening through out the State, wherein the respective Bar Associations are protesting and are going on strike. According to him, it is necessary to devise certain procedure and/or frame guidelines to curb such incidents in future.

Learned advocate Mr. Warunjikar submits that the Apex Court has formulated a High Power Committee of Hon'ble Justice K.R. Shriram Retired Chief Justice of Rajasthan and Madras High Court, one Senior Advocate and another lawyer to look into the day to day affairs of the Bar Council and to supervise the elections. We request the committee to give their suggestions/inputs for issuing guidelines and taking effective measures in such cases. 8.
We call upon the parties including the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa to suggest the guidelines/appropriate measures in this behalf. 9.
List the matter on 04.03.2026 at 2.30 p.m.
