By this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, Petitioner challenges the show cause notice dated 18th August 2025 issued by Respondent No.2 under Section 59(1) read with Section 56(1)(a) and (b) of the Maharashtra Police Act.

Petitioner has challenged the very issuance of show cause notice on the ground that no ingredients of Section 56 of the Maharashtra Police Act are made out. These contentions can be raised by the Petitioner in reply to the show cause notice, which the authority will consider in the proper perspective.

At the time of admission hereing, this Court has granted stay to the further proceedings in pursuance of impugned show cause notice. In case any adverse order is passed against the Petitioner by the Respondent No. 2, the same shall not be given effect to for a period of 15 days from the date of communication of the said order to the Petitioner. 4.
With the above directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5.
