The petitioner, a Chinese national, seeks registration of a First Information Report (for short, "FIR").

In our considered view, the petitioner has an equally efficacious alternative remedy of approaching the concerned Magistrate under Section 175(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, and may avail of the same. In view thereof, the petition stands disposed of. All contentions are kept open. If such a prayer is made before learned Magistrate, the same shall be decided on its own merits and even uninfluenced by this order.
