Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner. 2.

A limited prayer in this petition is to direct an expedite hearing of the Criminal Revision Application No. 1267/2023 preferred by the petitioner against an order dated 09th November, 2023 passed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, whereby the prayer of the petitioner to direct an investigation under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, came to be rejected and the petitioner was directed to proceed under Section 200 of the Code, 1973.

Having regard to the nature of the challenge in the revision application and the pendency thereof, the prayer for an expedite hearing of the said revision application appears justifiable. SAINATH 1/2

The Court is informed that, the revision application is now listed before the learned Sessions Judge on 20th March, 2026. The learned Sessions Judge seized with Criminal Revision Application No. 1267/2023, is requested to hear and decide the said Revision Application as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of four months from 20th March, 2026, in accordance with law.

The Writ Petition stands disposed.
