The limited prayer in these Petitions is to expedite the hearing of the Complaint No. SS/2303005 of 2012 (in WP No. 5045 of 2025) and Complaint No. SS/2303406 of 2012 (in WP No. 5046 of 2025). 3.

The Petitioner claims to be 81 years of age. The Complaints were lodged in the year 2012. Yet, the cross-examination of the Complainant is underway.

Having regard to the time lag, situation in the life of the Petitioner, and the statutory mandate under Section 143 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, the prayer for direction for expedite hearing of the complainant appears justifiable. 5.

Hence the Petitions stand allowed in terms of prayer clause (a). 6.

The learned Magistrate seized with Complaint No. SS/2303005 of 2012 and Complaint No. SS/2303406 of 2012 is requested to hear and decide the Complaints as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of eight months from the next scheduled date in the Complaints.
