Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.
The limited prayer in this petition is to expedite the hearing of the Complaint No. SS/2302995 of 2012.

The petitioner claims to be 78 years of age. The complaint was lodged in the year 2012. Yet, the cross-examination of the complaint is underway.

Having regard to the time lag, situation in the life of the petitioner, and the statutory mandate under Section 143 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, the prayer for direction for expedite hearing of the complaint appears justifiable. 5.
Hence the petition stands allowed in terms of prayer clause (a). varsha

The learned Magistrate seized with Complaint No. SS/2302995 of 2012 is requested to hear and decide the complaint as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of eight months from the next scheduled date in the complaint.
