This is a Petition for quashing of the proceedings arising out of C.R.No.365/2024 dated 21/10/2024 registered with NRI Sagari Police Station, Navi Mumbai, u/s 74, 79, 85, 352, 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 2.

The Petitioners are the father-in-law and mother-in-law of the Respondent No.2. The FIR is lodged by the Respondent No.2. The matter is now settled between the parties. Therefore, it is not necessary to refer to the allegations made in the FIR. However, in brief, the allegations in the FIR dated 21/10/2024 are that she got married with the Petitioners' son on 01/04/2024. There are different instances wherein the Petitioners had ill-treated her. On 17/04/2024, the Petitioners did not allow the Respondent No.2 and their son to enter the house because they had come late in the night after attending a fair. There are certain incidents dated 18/04/2024, 10/09/2024 and even subsequent to that when the Petitioner No.1 had allegedly outraged her modesty. The charge-sheet contains statements of her husband i.e.

the son of the Petitioners and her parents, who have supported her allegations. The matter is now settled between the parties. The Respondent No.2 has filed her affidavit. She has stated that there was an amicable settlement and that she has no objection for quashing of these proceedings. She is present in the Court.

3 / 3 husband i.e. the Petitioners' son is also present in the Court. All of them have stated that the matter is settled. The Respondent No.2 reiterated the contents of the affidavit. She stated before the Court that she has no objection for quashing of the entire proceedings.

The parties are closely related. The Respondent No.2 is residing peacefully with her husband, who is son of the Petitioners. Therefore, in the interest of justice and in the interest of parties, we are inclined to allow this Petition. 5.

Hence, the following order :

O R D E R

(i) The FIR vide C.R.No.365/2024 dated 21/10/2024 registered with NRI Sagari Police Station, Navi Mumbai, and the further proceedings arising out of the said FIR, are quashed and set aside.

(ii) The Petition is disposed of.
