1) Record prima facie indicates that, Petitioner is suffering from acute knee joint pain. The medical certificate, dated 17th July 2025, issued by Dr. Sudarshan M. Raut of Raut Hospital Dist. Solapur, indicates that, the Petitioner, was advised surgery B/L total knee replacement. The medical record of the Petitioner produced by the Jail Authority also indicates that, the Petitioner made complaint of knee joint pains to the Chief Medical Officer, Yerwada Central Prison Dist. Pune.

2) We therefore direct the Superintendent of Yerwada Central Prison, Dist. Pune, to get the Petitioner medically examined from the concerned specialist from Sassoon Hospital, Pune. 1/2

dtg 23-Wp-5239-2025.doc 3) The Registrar, Sassoon hospital Pune, is directed to get the Petitioner thoroughly examined from specialist/concerned department and submit a report to this Court on or before Friday i.e. 17th October 2025. 3.1) The Petitioner be produced at Sassoon Hospital, Pune, tomorrow i.e. 14th October 2025.

4) Stand over to 17th October 2025.
