Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

The challenge in this petition is to an order dated 24th September 2025, whereby the learned Additional Sessions Judge rejected the application preferred by the petitioner seeking further extension of time to deposit 20% of the amount of compensation awarded by the learned Magistrate as a condition for the suspension of sentence under Section 148 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. 3.

Learned counsel, on instructions, submits that the petitioner will deposit the entire 20% of the amount of compensation awarded by the learned Magistrate on or before Friday, the 17th October 2025. 4.

In view of the aforesaid submission, by way of indulgence, the petition stands disposed with liberty to the petitioner to deposit 20% of varsha

In the meanwhile no coercive action be taken against the petitioner.

It is hereby made clear that, if the petitioner fails to deposit the said amount before the Court of Sessions on or before 17th October 2025, the Court are at liberty to take appropriate actions, in accordance with law.
