Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

By this Petition, the Petitioner seeks quashing and setting aside of a proceedings under Section 12 of the Protection of the Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

Respondent No.2 is the wife of the Petitioner. Respondent No.2 has filed proceedings under Section 12 of the Act, 2005 alleging the domestic violence at the hands of the Petitioner.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the allegations against the Petitioner are vague.

This Court has perused the allegations in the complaint lodged by Respondent No.2. The Court finds that there are, prima facie, sufficient allegations to make out a case of physical, emotional and economic abuse of the Respondent. The veracity of the allegations would be a matter for SSP 1/2

20 wp 5311 of 2025.doc adjudication at the trial before the learned Magistrate. The Court does not find any justifiable reason to entertain the Petition. 6.

The Writ Petition, thus, stands dismissed.
